Ingredients

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Donuts

  • cups flour
  • ½ cup Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal finely crushed (see note)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar light
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup milk
  • cup sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons butter unsalted, melted, slightly cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 eggs

Cinnamon Glaze

  • cups powdered sugar
  • 7-8 teaspoons milk
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • cup Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal crumbs, for topping
  • ½ cup Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal whole, for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray two 6-cavity donut pans with cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, finely crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, sugars, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
1½ cups flour, ½ cup Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, ½ cup sugar, ½ cup brown sugar, ½ teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, sour cream, butter, vanilla extract, and canola oil. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in between each addition.
½ cup milk, ⅓ cup sour cream, 3 tablespoons butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons canola oil, 2 eggs
  • Add wet ingredients to dry and mix with a spatula until just combined, being sure not to over mix.
  • Scoop or pipe batter into greased donut pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Do not over bake.
  • Once donuts are done baking, let cool partially in the pans until they're no longer hot but still warm (about 10 minutes), then remove them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • While donuts are cooling, combine powdered sugar, milk, and cinnamon in a small bowl and whisk to combine. If the glaze seems too thin add additional powdered sugar until slightly thickened.
1½ cups powdered sugar, 7-8 teaspoons milk, ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Once cool, dip each donut first in the glaze, dunking the top side of the donut fully. Immediately sprinkle with Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal crumbs, then top with additional whole Cinnamon Toast Crunch pieces. Repeat with remaining donuts.
⅛ cup Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, ½ cup Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal

Notes

It's best if the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal that is added to the batter is very finely crushed into almost a powder. I find this is easiest to accomplish by using a food processor, but if you don't have one I would recommend using a rolling pin to finely crush the cereal.
