Strawberry Mocktail (Simple Frozen Mocktail Recipe!)

Ingredients
  

  • pink salt, sugar, and grapefruit zest for rimming glasses (see note)
  • 3 cups strawberries frozen
  • 8 ounces grapefruit juice fresh
  • 4 ounces water
  • 2 ounces simple syrup homemade or store-bought
  • seltzer water grapefruit or plain favor
  • strawberry and grapefruit slices for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Combine some pink salt, sugar, and grapefruit zest on a small plate, using your fingers to work the zest into the salt and sugar. Use a grapefruit peel or some simple syrup to wet part of the rim of your glasses, then press them into the pink salt mix. Set aside.

  • Add frozen strawberries, grapefruit juice, water, and simple syrup to a blender and puree until smooth.
    3 cups strawberries, 8 ounces grapefruit juice, 4 ounces water, 2 ounces simple syrup
  • Divide the strawberry mix between the rimmed drink glasses and top each with a splash of seltzer. Garnish with strawberry and grapefruit slices.

Notes

Pink salt: The unique flavor and color of pink salt is fun, but if you don't have any then regular kosher salt also works great.
Serving size: The number of servings depends on the size of the glasses you're using, and if they're smaller this recipe may serve up to 4 people.
Storing leftovers: Any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer, and when you're ready to serve defrost them at room temperature until pourable.
